Summary: Missing piece, pictures can be deceiving
Comment: The lid from the smallest sauce pan was missing. I called and asked if they could send the missing piece. Instead of making it simple, they said I'd have to send the whole thing back to them. Because of this, I asked for a refund. The pans themselves also don't look nearly as good as they do in the photo. The lesson here is to not buy items like this online. Your best bet is going to a store and seeing what you are going to buy in person beforehand. Also, if you run into any problems, it's less of a hassle to take care of.

Summary: Great after all this time...
Comment: I purchased this set from Amzaon back in 2001 and they are still going strong. The ones that I replaced with this set didn't even last this long. This set works great if you are looking for some cookware that works well and lasts a long time. Granted, there are better sets out there, but they often are more expensive or overpriced. If you are looking for a starter set or just something to cook those nightly meals with, this set comes highly recommended.

Comment: The set is a definite upgrade from the cheap non-stick we had. It, however, leaves a lot to be desired.
1. The handles are ok, but seem rather and don't make a good hold.
2. Handle attachment to the body is not riveted, but soldered.
3. All the pans are about the same size, not very useful. It's missing a wide pan.

Comment: I purchased this set from Amazon about 2 years ago. It's been one of the best purchases I've made. The cookware has held up great even though I always put it in the dishwasher (except for the nonstick pans). It still cooks very well and looks good too. The handles are solid and attached with stainless screws.
Also, it's easy to get matching pieces -- there is a Farberware outlet store at Aurora Farms in Ohio and you can get matching pieces there. I picked up a steamer pan there and it was also well-made.
Overall, I highly recommend this product.

Functional as well as beautiful, the 13 pieces in this cookware set will bring joy to any serious cook. The set includes a 1-quart covered saucepan, a 1-1/2-quart covered saucepan, a 2-quart covered saucepan, and a big, 8-quart covered stockpot (6-1/2 inches high, 9-3/4 inches in diameter). Also included are 8-inch and 10-inch nonstick skillets. (The stockpot lid fits the larger skillet.) Finally, there are three mixing bowls--1-quart, 2-quart, and 3-quart--with snap-on plastic lids. Except for the plastic lids, all pieces are made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The saucepans and stockpot have aluminum cores in their bases to spread heat quickly and evenly. The cores are completely clad in stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy cleanup. Thick rolled rims add durability and make it possible to pour without dripping. Because the handles are safe to 350 degrees F (they stay cool on the stovetop), the pans, pot, and skillets can be used in the oven.
