Customer Rating: Summary: Rust after second use ... Comment: I was delighted to receive these knives, and even more delighted after using them. But then came the disappointment ... rusting after two uses (already!) on the blades.
Package clearly says "dishwasher safe." There is no good reason to handwash this knife, given it's materials & price.
I would have been better off picking up the 4-piece set of Chicago Cutlery paring knives for under $4 ... at least they won't rust in the dishwasher.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great little knives Comment: Highly recommend this set of knives. I use them all the time for everything from cutting a piece of fruit to slicing cheese. Love the color coded handles too. They are very sharp and the blades are nice and fine (thin). I got them to replace a very old set of Henkels paring knives. If you take care of these, they will last many years.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good bargain Comment: My mother was in need of paring knives and I read the reviews on this set and decided to get them for her. They arrived while I was visiting her for three weeks and I used them daily. They feel good in the hand. The handles are long enough and the blades are thin making them easy to maneuver when coring apples, peeling potatoes or sectioning oranges. The blades arrived sharp and overall they seem to be a good bargain. I will be ordering a set for myself as they are a good compliment for any existing knife set. Just remember that they are 'paring' knives, designed to cut fruit and vegetables in the hand more than to slice or chop on a cutting board.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good, easy to find knives Comment: Got these for use in the RV - the colored handles make them easy to see in the drawer - no accidents! Nice product - especially at this price.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the best purchases from Amazon.com Comment: For this amount of money, you can get 4 very "sharp" multitasking knives.
The red one that I thought, I would use the lest out of the 4, is what I use daily in the kitchen.Truly multitasking. Delicate fruits/ any bread/ sandwich/cake
The green one- any job can be done with it in the kitchen.
The other two knives work greatly as backup knives.
One could say that the knives are cheap looking with those vivid colors of the knives. However, the color code was one of the reasons for my purchase. I tend to lose small knives- so far 4 henkel 4 star paring knives have been lost. The color code helps me keep track of the knives and prevent me from cutting myself when I take out the knives from the drawer.
Highly recommended.

The brightly colored handles on the four knives in this set strike cheerful notes in the kitchen, while the blades, stamped from high-carbon stainless steel, have all the shapes required for small-knife tasks. There's a 3-inch low-point, straight-edge knife (yellow handle) for cutting fruits and vegetables into thin slices, a 2-1/4-inch curved-blade knife (blue handle) for peeling and shaping, a 4-inch classic paring knife (green handle), and a 4-1/2-inch serrated utility knife (red handle) with a rounded point for slicing tomatoes. Handles are textured for a secure grip even when wet, and the lightweight knives prevent wrist strain when kitchen chores stretch out. These knives are dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack
