Summary: got dull pretty quick
Comment: The block is nice and the blades look nice int he beginning, but I guess you get what you pay for. These blades got dull very quick and Barely cut anymore.

Comment: I do not recommend this at all. It's not sharp. Friends and family who have used it when they are at my house said the blades are very dull. I need to sharpen it after every use. There are so many other knife selections out there that are much better. Trust me, don't buy this one.

Comment: I have used these for over a year and they have been well suited for the kitchen. I even have a friend who is a Chef that likes them. Says, " for the price they ok ". So, if you are looking for a low-end set, get these.
One reveiwer mentions rust. Must be reviewing other knife set or work for a company that wants to knock the reputation. They DO NOT RUST. I have not seen any rust or breakage on the handles nor any wear problems. The blades are as good as the day I bought them.

Comment: I have had this set for a little over a year, and there are hardly any knives left. The handles break easily, and dull very quickly. Definitely NOT worth the money!

Comment: This was by far one of my worst purchases. I have changed all my knives to Henckels products and couldn't be happier. I ended up throwing the entire set in the trash when I moved, with the exception of the scissors. For some reason I loved them and still have them!!

This inexpensive set provides a cook with five essential kitchen knives as well as six steak knives for the dinner table. Included in the set is a 14-slot hardwood block for storing everything within reach on the counter, a rugged pair of kitchen shears for cutting everything from poultry to flowers, and an 8-inch steel for keeping knife edges aligned. Stamped from high-carbon stainless steel, the knives have durable synthetic handles that are shaped to snugly fit the hand. Finger slots in the handles ensure the knives can be safely controlled. The five kitchen knives are an 8-inch chef's knife; an 8-inch serrated bread knife for crusty loaves; an 8-inch slicer for roasts, poultry, and ham; a 6-inch utility knife; and a 3-1/2-inch paring knife.
