We have not experienced any discoloration at all, even when run through the dishwasher. This set is everything the description says it is. A+ Customer Rating: Summary: Will probably outlive me! Comment: I have always preferred Oneida stainless flatware. I picked up two services of this pattern on sale years ago, and I have never regretted it. It is simple, sturdy and comfortable to use. Even the garbage disposal doesn't make much of a dent in a spoon. I have never had a piece rust or pit. I just wish more matching serving pieces were available. Customer Rating: Summary: Worst set of Oneida Flatware that I own Comment: This is the worse set of flatware that I own. You would think that with the Oneida brand that there would be a quality product but this set is terrible. Customer Rating: Summary: They start rusting in less than a year! Comment: I bought the Oneida Persuasion Flatware Set to be used as an everyday set. I liked its clean and simple design, and its mate finish on the handles. To my surprise, and in less than a year, a few of the handles had started to rust, like if a small drop of water had stayed and worked its way through the metal. This is ridiculous, I live alone and the set is barely used by the maid and me, so it has been exposed to a very light use. I do own other cheaper Oneida sets that had withstand years of use and abuse, but this one is not worth buying. More Reviews
