Summary: Almost perfect except it doesn't work well with spray starch / buy an iron with a Teflon surface instead.
Comment: It heats fast, it generates alot of steam we use ours weekly and have been for about a year but the chrome surface isn't really non stick and we have to stop ironing after a few garments for the iron to cool off so we can use a sponge or other kind of light scouring pad to clean off the scorched starch.
Failure to clean the starch off and our garments start to turn brown since the iron begins to bake the dried starch from the heating plate into the fabric, this is most obvious with white shirts and we have to wash them again.
Our search at Amazon for Shark irons with Teflon plates only returned Sharks with chrome / stainless steel heating surfaces.
For just steam ironing this thing is top notch.

Comment: I purchased this iron one year ago. It worked fine up until this morning...it died. This iron is not worth the money. Spare yourself the headache and purchase another brand.

Summary: Good Start, however not lasting
Comment: Bought this iron 9 months ago. The first month it was great then came the sudden decline. The steam was no longer as it was, the iron leaks, the silver coating under the handle started to rub away and now the thing just doesn't work at all. I've had irons that i paid $9.99 for which lasted much much longer.

Summary: Terrible Steam Iron !
Comment: I wish I could rate 0 stars, but you can't do that here. I had this iron six months and had a myriad of problems. The cord would only work if it was placed in a certain position (crimped back toward the handle) and then the steam would just drip all over my clothes and make a terrible mess. I contacted the company to see what my options were for a replacement, and was told I would have to send it in for them (post-paid) and they would "evaluate" the unit. They told me the warranty would be void since I had used plain tap water. I only used the distilled and bottled water. Never, ever purchase this iron. It's a terrible waste of money.

Summary: Garbage, save your money, buy a less expensive, better Iron!
Comment: I have spent the last 18 years in the military. I Have used many different irons. This one looks the best, but worked the least. After a dozen or so uses, the Iron got really hot, melted through an expensive shirt, then quit heating up. Not it just sits there and blinks, and smells bad. Good think I bought my wife a Rowenta clothes steamer so I have something to use on my things.
For the $60 or so that I paid for this last year, this think is a piece of junk and I will probably never own another Euro-Pro Shark product again as I have not had good luck with a number of their things. Do not waste your money on this Iron and buy a better one for probably less money!!
