It has power enough to make mayonnaise and probably whipped cream, though I haven't yet tried that. Comment: Very nice quality, but HEAVY, TALL and GIANTIC....Not the most well-designed blender. Difficult for small hands to hold the blender with "on" button down for prolonged period of time. Cordless feature is nice, but battery unit increases height and weight of unit. Cuisinart should have provided another battery unit. I keep it on my kitchen counter, very compact and neat looking, and the battery part I keep pluged in all the time, so it's ready to use. I love that I don't have to worry about a wire catching on fire on the stove while I'm using it. Also received the product right away. Very, very nice. Fun to use.
