Customer Rating: Summary: Couldn't use it. Too heavy. Comment: I gave 3 (instead of less) stars to be fair because the product may actually cook wonderfully but I have no way of knowing because there was no way I was going to try it with how heavy this thing is. 8lbs may not sound like much but I guess because of what it is and how its held, it felt more like 20lbs. I had to return it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome Grill Marks! Comment: I bought this grill pan and the 12 inch skillet. The raised ridges are very high, but still conduct heat evenly. Once you understand cast iron cooking, you can turn out incredible steaks, on par with steakhouses. Its all about high-heat even heating. I create the grill marks by using this on the stovetop and then finishing in the oven. PLEASE ALWAYS wear oven mitts when cooking with cast iron.
Interestingly, the Emeril/All-Clad care and seasoning instructions differ from every other source I have consulted. That said, the Emeril/All-Clad care and seasoning instructions seem to work the best for this pan.

Emerilware Cast Iron is tough and durable so it's ready to go right out of the box. It's also made to last a lifetime, so be prepared to enjoy years of hearty meals. Versatility is this cookware's middle name. Use it for saut??ing, browning, simmering, and even baking.
