Customer Rating: Summary: Heavy duty and good looking Comment: This is a great addition to my kitchen counter. The double compartment helped me to keep both Salt and Pepper within reach while I cook, yet it saves counter space and looks great!
I gave it 4 start instead of 5 because the lid would fall off when I open it too far. It's not a big deal because I can just put it back on. Good value for the money.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's Huge! Comment: I just want to remind people to check the dimensions before making the ourchase. The wood is nice and the top slides in plce nicely with the magnets that are imbedded in it.
It's the size of a mini beer can. You have been warned :O
Customer Rating: Summary: well designed salt cellar Comment: I needed a covered salt keeper. Mario Batali's is well designed - it easily slides closed. And I can keep both kosher and sea salts - nothing can fall into the compartments and the salt stays dry.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love this salt cellar Comment: Fantastic next to the stove. We put coarse in the bottom and fine on top. It can be easily opened when you are cooking and your hands are busy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Mario Batali Comment: The cellar has a real heavy weight feel to it and it's made of good quality wood, it has magnets so you only need to push the lid a little bit and the magnet will do the rest for you, it holds a fairly good amount of salt I personally use it to hold coarse and fine sea salts and I love the way it looks near the stove top.
