I finally took the plunge and bought one. I was delighted when I got it and read the instructions, etc. I took it to work and everyone there was very impressed. It has helped me the most by showing me how many calories I am eating which is a BIG surprise! The best feature I feel is that it calculates the most important nutritional data for me quickly so I can spend my time more beneficially, like exersizing (!!!) and I don't have to get out a pencil & paper and painfully look through books for all the data. I highly recommend this scale if you are serious about changing your diet lifestyle and want to lose weight. Customer Rating: Summary: Does the job well. Comment: I haven't used most of the features, but so far this scale does its job well. Accurate and convenient, I keep it in a cabinet and it's very easy to pull out for use. It could use some work on ergonomics (not many people use the word TARE for example). I can see where someone could lose the book with food number codes; however, the database is available on the company website. A feature that would scroll through the food selections would be nice. Overall, it would take a very good scale to outdo this one. Customer Rating: Summary: Great product!!!!! Comment: I purchased this scale in order to help me with a diet I was starting. It couldn't be any easier to use. It has 999 preprogramed foods and a manual mode to enter in foods that may not be on their list. However, looking at the list I can't imagine you ever needing this feature, but it is still nice to have just in case. It also comes in handy just for weighing food portions with a tare feature to zero out the scale when you are using a bowl or plate to weigh your food on. This scale actually makes it kind of fun while working with my diet. I have been on my diet for about a month now and so far I have lost 20 lbs. My goal is to lose 70 lbs, so I am well on my way.
